The Newark, Ohio, Courthouse, all decked out for the winter holidays this year. :xmas:

We went down for the lighting ceremony today, and hung around afterward to take some pictures. This is two shots stitched together in Photoshop Elements. Not the best output, but I can't get my other program to handle the exposure blend correctly. Oh well :shrug:

I love that Newark still does this; they have a drive every year to raise the money for the electric bill.

Wish the courthouse in Athens would do this too... Probably get vandalized a bit by the drunks, but it'd be a sweet sight. Any idea how long it takes them to put all that up?

I'm not sure how long it takes to set up, but I do know they raised about $17,000 last year to pay for the electric bill. :lol:

They have fundraising drives every year to help pay. It's worth it, though. :D If you're not too far away I highly recommend driving up one night and strolling around.

Sadly, I am this year; back home in VA for a while. But that just means I go to DC to see the ginormous tree on the Ellipse. :D
