Aquarium by AreteEirene Aquarium by AreteEirene
The aquarium at the Columbus Zoo has benches in front of it where you can sit and chill and look at the lovely fishies. I sat, set up my tripod, and started to snap away. Longer exposures due to low light levels results in some motion blur in the fish. :D

I think I could've sat there for quite a long time.

OMG-that picture so rocks. I love aquariums. It reminds me of my snorklng at the reef in the keys. Such beautiful vibrant colors. Some time you get the chance and a little road trip, I suggest going to the NewPort Aquarium right across the river in from Cincinnati. I loved it. Or have you been there?
Kudos on the kick butt picky!

Thank you so much!

Nope, haven't been to the aquarium in Cincy, but might go with that recommendation. It's only an hour and half drive from here, not that big of a deal :D

You're welcome!
Yea, the coolest part about the aquarium is the glass tube that you walk through. It takes you right though the middle of the shark tank. They can swim over, under, or right up next to you. There are other fish and a reef like fixture in there as well. Atleast there was when I went.
Lots of great photo ops in that one!

Disney has a ride through tube in the Living Seas. I always thought that was tres cool :D I'll have to talk to some friends and family, see if anyone is interested in going down for a day trip.

I doubt it. It'll get buried much faster in the gallery it's in. Stupid dinosaurs! :shakefist:

Must take tripod into Energy pavilion and get MORE pics of dinos!

That's because I didn't use the flash. :) I had my tripod with me :boogie:

I try not to use a flash if I can help it.

 I think I used at least a half second shutter speed, maybe more. You wouldn't be able to hand-hold a non-flash picture in there, no matter how hard you try.

I took a movie too. Keep meaning to turn it into an avatar...

I always love to sit in aquariums - but I never bring my tripod - so my photos always look like sod :P

Mom tried to get some photos with her camera but the flash washed out all the pretty colors and made the fish look evil and scaley :lmao:

Ya - flashes make the glass show up and ruin the shot :P
